WHEN THE PRESENCE OF JESUS IS ENOUGH

I sat down to eat my breakfast and drink my coffee this morning knowing all I needed most today was to be in the presence of Jesus. As I began to pray over my breakfast I felt the presence of Jesus sitting next to me. I broke down and smiled as I knew His presence is right here on the same kitchen table bench I too sat. The birds were chirping in the background, the laundry dryer was on, and I had music playing in the background but even in that I could not deny the beautiful presence of Jesus sitting next to me.

Our lives get so loud and so busy that sometimes all we need is to just sit still. He will meet us in our loud and oftentimes busy lives. He will meet us when it’s quiet with no signs of movement around us. I felt inclined to put on some old school Jesus music (worship) and sang along to the top of my lungs and in the singing everything that was seemingly stale within me was released.

The presence of Jesus is enough!

And when I recognize he is right here with me I can’t help but sing, maybe even dance a little bit, and just sit still with nothing and no agenda. When I walked downstairs I found this little tiny cross on the steps. It was the tangible evidence of Jesus presence! I cannot deny Him, I cannot deny His existence, I cannot deny His presence with me. It’s evident even through my heart!

When is the last time you sat still in the presence of Jesus? If you are a believer, He is with you all the time throughout your day. If He is quiet it’s because he is listening, maybe watching, and enjoying being in our presence. If you hear Him speak, listen, what is He telling you in your time together?

If you long to meet him where you are in life with seemingly no hope, ask for Him to come to meet you right where you are. There is NO sin to great you have done that can stop Him from wanting to be with you.

There is NOTHING you have done that will stop Him from pursuing a relationship with you. The only thing in the way… is us… We think we are “too much”, “too sinful”, “too angry”, “too bad”… why would Jesus want to be in MY presence?

When Jesus died on the cross He cleansed us of our sins. It was to make a way for us to be with Him for eternity and have a lifelong one on one relationship with Him. He longs to just be in relationship with you and me!

He LONGS to be in OUR presence! ... Let that sink in. He is a relational God, King, Best Friend, Savior, Brother, Father, and Husband. A close connection with Jesus is not about Religion. It’s about a beautiful every day relationship with him.

“Then I was constantly at his side. I was filled with delight day after day, rejoicing always in his presence, rejoicing in his whole world and delighting in mankind.” Proverbs‬ ‭8‬:‭30‬-‭31‬ ‭NIV‬

"The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth." John 1:14 NIV
